BGMI 4.6 Update: Release Date, Midnight Hunters Mode, New Items and Ocean Odyssey

BGMI 4.6 arrived on September 16, 2026. Its headline addition is Midnight Hunters, a vampire-themed mode that rebuilds parts of Erangel and runs until November 16, 2026. The underwater Ocean Odyssey mode returns on September 30, 2026.

Midnight Hunters mode: what changes on Erangel

Erangel keeps its core layout, but several points of interest are redesigned. Rozhok, Mylta, the Quarry and Gatka are taken over by vampires. Stalber and Sosnovka Military Base become Hunter Guild locations with indoor combat arenas. The reports also mention a Hunter Shooting Range, an interactive bell tower and Scream Crates.

The mode adds creatures and NPCs: Bloodwalkers on the ground, Nightbats that attack from the air with sonic strikes, a Vampire Elder that strengthens linked creatures, and the Nightkeeper, an NPC who provides lore and upgrades. Players can also cross to the other side mid-match and play as a vampire with different abilities, which changes how the final circles play out.

• Hunter Bandage: a healing item described as restoring health rapidly.
• Silvermoon Chain: a multi-purpose tool that works as an anti-creature weapon, a grappling line for movement and a defensive shield.
• Twilight Bat Wings: wings that allow sustained flight.

Kiaraa and the Diwali content

Kiaraa is described as an original character made for India, and her debut on October 8 is tied to a Diwali-themed Indian Bazaar setting on Erangel. The Diwali Prize Path that follows on October 22 gives the festival period a progression track of its own. For players, the practical point is timing: the Diwali content overlaps the last weeks of Midnight Hunters, so the mode you spend your time on will compete with the rewards you want to finish.

How Midnight Hunters changes the way you play

This section is our read of the reported mechanics, not tested findings. The four vampire-themed points of interest (Rozhok, Mylta, the Quarry and Gatka) now carry missions and creatures, so a hot drop there means fighting creatures as well as players. The Hunter Guild buildings at Stalber and Sosnovka Military Base offer indoor combat, which favours close-range weapons. Because players can cross over and play as a vampire mid-match, the last circles can have a different mix of opponents than a normal classic match. If you play for rank rather than the event, check whether the mode affects your queue before you spend time on it.

Ocean Odyssey returns on September 30

Ocean Odyssey, the underwater-themed mode, comes back on September 30, 2026, with the Ocean Palace, the Trident and the Kraken. The sources we checked give no further detail on rewards or rules, so check the in-game announcement tab before you plan around it.

How to update BGMI safely

2. Keep enough free storage and update on a stable connection, because an interrupted download is the usual cause of stuck updates.
3. Avoid mod APKs, “free UC” files and Telegram OBB packs. Never enter your BGMI login, OTP or Google account on a third-party page.

A new version can change how aiming feels on your device.
